Skill Build
If you are unemployed, Skillbuild can help give you the skills and experience you need to get and stay in a job.
Skillbuild is an all-age programme and is for learners who may require occupational skills learning and/or who are uncertain of what career direction they may wish to take. To help with this, Skill Build offers work taster placements which are designed to help you choose the career path that suits you.
The programme also offers motivational classes, confidence building sessions and help with Basic Skills, as well as occupational learning at NVQ levels 1, 2 and 3. The programme also offers job-specific pre-employment training.
If you are eligible and aged 16-18 you will be entitled to a minimum of £50 per week.
