ALN Co-ordinator

Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are seeking to appoint a temporary ALN Co-ordinator for our client in Neath. The successful candidate will ensure students are supported to develop independence and progress in their learning through effective use of technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess individual student needs and implement personalised assistive technology support.
  • Manage a caseload of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) in line with relevant legislation.
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate workshops and training for students and staff on assistive technology use.
  • Maintain and manage assistive technology equipment, databases, and asset registers, ensuring resources are current and fit for purpose.
  • Work closely with Student Support, IT, Libraries, and Heads of School to embed technology in learning and promote independent study.
  • Monitor, review, and evaluate the impact of assistive technology support on student progress and attainment.
  • Research and explore new and emerging assistive technologies, integrating them into practice where appropriate.
  • Promote the assistive technology service, ensuring consistent strategies and effective usage.
  • Support exam access arrangements and remote learning through assistive technology.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maximise student engagement and confidence in using assistive technology.

Rate of Pay:

  • £16-17 per hour

Hours of Work:

  • 37 hours per week
