Our client is seeking to appoint a temporary HR and Payroll Administrator, with the potential to progress into a permanent position. This role is available for an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing
- Ensuring timely input of starters, leavers, and changes
- Upload monthly payroll data into ADP
- Process worked hours from the time & attendance system and maintain payroll amendment sheets
- Complete agency hours, raise PO numbers, and liaise with Finance for payment
- Manage the payroll inbox, responding to queries and updating amendment sheets
- Input and check absence data
- Run monthly emergency holiday reports and chase approvals from managers
HR Administrative Support
- Prepare and issue HR letters (e.g. absence, flexible working, maternity/paternity/adoption)
- Maintain accurate filing systems (scanning, training documentation, RTW forms, trackers, etc.)
- Process HR-related invoices and generate PO numbers
- Administer long-service recognition process
- Liaise with Occupational Health for medicals and other requirements
- Respond to HR and payroll queries, escalating where necessary
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Support the recruitment and selection process (acknowledging applications, preparing packs, notifying applicants)
- Assist with onboarding (updating records, liaising with managers, organising inductions)
Ad Hoc
- Participate in HR projects, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
Education
- GCSEs (Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths)
- Level 3 qualification in Business Administration or equivalent desirable
Experience
- Previous payroll administration experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
- Experience managing both hourly and salaried payroll
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (including formulas)
- Handling large volumes of data
- Experience with HR Information Systems (e.g. Softworks, ADP) desirable
Salary:
- Around £25,000 per annum
Hours:
- Part Time or Full Time dependant on the candidates preference
