Press Brake Operator

Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for an experienced Press Brake Operator for a Client in the Bridgend area.

This position is temporary to permanent for the right candidate.

Job Role

You will be responsible for the efficient and accurate operation of press brake machinery to bend, shape and form metal materials according to design requirements.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, technical proficiency and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Material Inspection

* Inspect raw materials for quality and conformity to specification.

* Ensure proper alignment and positioning of materials in the press brake.

Programming and Operation

* Program the press brake machine based on engineering CAD Drawings and job requirements.

* Operate the press brake to bend, shape and form metal components accurately.

* Monitor machine parameters to maintain proper speed, pressure and angles during the bending process.

Quality Control

* Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet design specifications.

* Make necessary adjustments to the machine settings to correct deviations from desired tolerances.

Essential

* Experience of using Bystronic and Edward Pearson Brake Press Machines.

* Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.

* Proven experience as a Press Brake Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.

* Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

* Knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and materials.

* Familiarity with press brake machinery and related tools.

The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 7am to 4.30pm/Friday 7am to 1pm.

The hourly rate is £13.00 – £15.00 an hour.
