Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are seeking a Production Team Leader for our client in Pyle. This role involves supervising a small team of four operatives while actively working on the shop floor. The successful candidate will ensure daily production targets are met and that parts are processed, painted to the required quality, and delivered to Assembly on time and in the correct quantities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of 4 production operatives
- Work hands-on alongside the team in fettling, shot blasting, and painting
- Ensure daily production targets are achieved
- Step in to cover duties when team members are absent
- Ensure parts are prepared and sent to the paint shop in line with the production plan
- Monitor paint quality and ensure finished parts meet required standards
- Ensure painted parts are transferred to Assembly on time and in the correct quantities
- Maintain housekeeping, quality, and health & safety standards in the area
- Report any issues, delays, or quality concerns to the Production Manager
- Support training and onboarding of new starters
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Supervisory or team leader experience (desirable but not essential)
- Understanding of painting and shot blasting processes (highly desirable)
- Hands-on, practical approach to work
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage a small team and prioritise workload
- Strong attention to quality and detail
Rate of Pay and Hours of work:
- £12.21 per hour
- Monday to Friday (37 hours a week)
