Community Services Coordinator

Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are seeking to appoint a Services Coordinator on behalf of our client. This is a temporary 6-month contract, based in the Neath area, requiring the successful candidate to work 25 hours per week. The role will also involve occasional travel between Neath and Port Talbot.

Aims and Main Tasks

To ensure the effective delivery of the organisation’s services across the local area

  • Day-to-day management of services and staff
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal requirements, including Health & Safety, GDPR, Equalities Act, etc.
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Providing accurate reports for Directors as required
  • Managing premises and equipment

2. To develop and promote the organisation’s services within the community

  • Explore enhanced use of social media and other methods to increase service usage
  • Actively promote services by establishing links with local organisations across all sectors
  • Identify opportunities to deliver services in a sustainable way
  • Explore suitable funding opportunities in conjunction with the Board and relevant partner organisations

3. To support the Board in ensuring compliance with Charity and Company Law

  • Take notes of meetings and undertake agreed actions
  • Provide reports on the operation of services

Contract length: 6 months
Pay: £20 per hour (equivalent to £26,000 per annum based on 25 hours per week)
Hours: Flexible, provided you complete 25 hours per week.

The post holder will be required to be flexible in the range of duties undertaken to ensure the operational needs of the organisation are met. Any such flexibility will be consistent with the overall duties of the post holder.

The role will be based in Neath, with travel required between the Neath office and the Port Talbot base.
