Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are seeking skilled welders for our client in the Bridgend area. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabrication of mild steel components.

Duties:

• Operation of appropriate welding plant, hand and electric tools
• Read and interpret engineering drawings to fully position and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications.
• Tack-welds/welds components and assemblies to set tolerance
• Perform quality checks and maintain a high standard
• Report any production issues to the department supervisor/manager
• Follow company rules and adhere to procedures and health and safety standards at all times
• Record daily safety checks on welding plant and equipment
• Perform any other duties as requested by the department supervisor/manager

Qualifications:

• Must be qualified to fully weld mild steel products to engineering drawings.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations are essential.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Salary

• Hourly Rate from £13.00 to £14.50 per hour
