Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are seeking a Carpentry & Joinery Technician to support our client. This temporary role involves assisting with practical teaching environments, maintaining equipment, and supporting learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an appropriate practical working environment
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for use
- Check, maintain, and where possible repair equipment
- Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organized
- Maintain stock levels and accurate inventories of tools, equipment, and materials
- Assist in supervising learners within the workshop
- Organize the issue and return of tools, equipment, and materials
- Participate in risk assessments of practical activities
Requirements:
- Level 2 qualification in a relevant discipline
- English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent)
- Relevant technical experience in Carpentry & Joinery
- IT literate
- Ability to operate and maintain machinery and equipment
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods.
- Familiarity with construction painting techniques is a plus.
Working Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Rate of pay: £13.45 per hour
