Production Administrator

Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are seeking a proactive and adaptable Office Administrator / PA who will play a key role in supporting our operational and administrative functions. This position offers a unique development opportunity to transition into a Production Supervisor role over time. The ideal candidate will be highly organised, tech-savvy, and eager to learn, with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support:

  • Manage day-to-day office tasks, including scheduling, correspondence, and document preparation.
  • Provide PA support to the Site Leader, including diary management and meeting coordination.

Operational Involvement:

  • Create and manage works orders accurately within the production system.
  • Assist with stock control activities, including regular stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
  • Support purchasing processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of materials.

Data & Reporting:

  • Maintain and update records using Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office applications.
  • Prepare reports and analyse data to support operational decision-making.

Future Development:

  • Gain exposure to production workflows and supervisory responsibilities.
  • Participate in training and mentoring to prepare for a future leadership role within the production team.

Skills & Attributes

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems for works orders, inventory management, and purchasing.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and diplomatically within a team environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in administration or purchasing.
  • Understanding of manufacturing or production processes (advantageous but not essential).

This role is designed for an ambitious individual who is keen to develop into a Production Supervisor position. Full training and support will be provided to ensure a smooth transition.

Start Date: After Christmas
Location: Bridgend
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hour
