Production Operator

Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are looking for experienced Production Operators for a Client in the Llantrisant area.

These positions are temporary to permanent after completing a successful probation period.
Role overview
The successful candidates are responsible for carrying out manufacturing processes required by way of a detailed production record and to maintain a clean and safe working environment with adherence to safety policies.
Job Role
* Responsible for the picking of all components, picking and packaging prior to Despatch to the Customer.
* This is a physically demanding role that also requires an eye for detail and the ability to adhere to daily plans and plan the most effective way to palletise the goods being picked.
* Use cutting equipment and assemble to Engineering drawings a variety of PVC drawings.
* Hand laminating under vacuum, responsible for Moulding, Cutting and Final fit out.
* Utilise the Fixed Drill Rigs to complete the manufacture of GRP Panels for installation, varying in weight up to 28kg each.
* Use a variety of fixed equipment and hand tools to manufacture Aluminium and Steel components. Processes include Band Saw, Press Brake, Roller and Punches.
* Responsible for the Manufacturing of GRP Panels using the Hot Press Process, loading, unloading and trimming of the panels, varying in weight up to 28kg each.
* Material movement using electrical equipment including forklifts, pump trucks and powered pallet trucks.
* Accurate labelling/marking of finished parts.
* Carrying out first off dimensional checking and 100% visual inspection to ensure products meet the clients high-quality standards.
* Operate a safe working environment in line with company policies and procedures.
* Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping.
* Working to strict company deadlines and targets.

Experience
* Previous Manufacturing/Production experience is essential.
* Forklift experience is desirable.

* Good presentation, written and oral communication skills.
* Must be an innovative thinker and commercially aware.
* Must be willing to develop interpersonal and communication skills.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday/Days. You must be flexible and work overtime if required.

The starting salary is £12.40 an hour.
